No we do not allow pets in the Park.

Many BIG4 Parks are now accepting Dogs. Please see www.big4.com.au for a list of participating Parks.

With 130 acres and space to ’roam free’ – our sister park BIG4 Saltwater @ Yamba now accept dogs 365 days a year. They have both cabins & sites that are dog friendly.

Absolutely – our waterpark is considered to be one of the best of any holiday park in the country!

Please check up with reception when booking what the size of your site will be to ensure that the site is large enough for your set-up.

MINIMUM LEGAL DISTANCE REQUIREMENTS

Local Government Regulations stipulate the following rules for setting up your tent, camper or caravan. Please adhere to these rules when setting up, or you will be asked to alter your set-up later.

  • Your equipment must be 1m from the road way, this includes guy ropes.
  • Your equipment may only cover 2/3rds of the area of your site. This includes tarpaulins.
  • Your equipment must be 1.25m from the adjacent sites.
  • You should be at least 2.5m from your neighbours tent, camper or caravan.
  • Your car must fit onto the site, do not park on the road. If it does not fit, it must be parked in the visitor’s car park or Holden St.

Yes, we accept day visitors outside of holidays, long weekends and busy weekends.

Please call reception to see if we are taking day visitors on the day.

Upon arrival at the park, visit reception to sign a registration form, pay the $15 per person fee (3 & over) and receive your day visitor wristbands.

Your confirmation letter has a link to pay your balance by credit card online, or it states your BPAY details to pay through your bank account.

You can view your booking online, make changes, see payments and download receipts.

You can also make a payment over the phone.

NB – a transaction fee applies where a credit card is used (between 1.0 – 1.5% depending on the card).

All our standard rates listed are for 1-2 people. Any additional guests are charged per night

In cabins:

Extra guests (adults & children) are $20 per person.

On Sites:

Extra guests (adults & children) are $15 per person.

Children are from 3-15 years. 2 years and under free of charge. 

EXTRA DAY GUESTS:

These above rates are for guests staying overnight. The facilities of the Park are for use by registered paying guests only. Should you wish to have others come in to the Park to visit you and use the park facilities, a day use fee is applicable.

Day use visitors are charged at $10 per person per day. All day visitors must be signed in and paid for at Reception prior to using the Park’s facilities.

Yes all cabins have TV’s and DVD players.

All our cabins have 1 reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating unit.

We’ve added a purpose-built kids cooking and craft area “Sprinkles Bakehouse”.

Please contact reception for session times. You can also follow us via Facebook or Instagram where we’ll often post ‘What’s On At Tweed Billabong’ activities schedules.

Activities in Sprinkles Bakehouse are charged at $12.00 per session to cover costs of craft and cooking materials.

We have disabled bathroom facilities at the rear of both the male and female amenities. These include a shower and toilet with hand rails.

Yes we have both a family bathroom and a baby’s bathroom.

The family bathroom has a full bath with shower over and a toilet. The baby’s bathroom has a baby’s bath and change table. 

We hire go karts, plus kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for our Billabong. In addition, we have DVD’s and board games available for use in your cabin or van/tent.

HIRE EQUIPMENT:

  • Kayaks, either a family or single size: $10 per hour.
  • Stand-Up Paddleboards: $10 per hour
  • Single or Double Go-Karts $10 per hour
  • Family 4 seater Go-Kart $10 per hour

No, unfortunately open fires are not permitted in the Park. This includes braziers etc.

The Park has a 1 car per booking policy. All cabins are allocated with one car space. Your car needs to fit within the boundary of your powered or ensuite site at all times. This may mean that you need a larger site or a smaller tarp. Discuss your requirements with reception at time of booking.

We have a security gate at the entrance of the park that restricts access to 1 car only. This ensures the safety of all guests, as well as limiting car numbers to reduce traffic within the park. Extra parking is available just inside the park entry and also in Holden Street. If you have a boat you may need to decide to park it on your site instead of your car.

Yes there is free wifi available within the park.

Yes we have Australia’s best Camp Kitchen!

Our Kitchen has a full size fridge, sinks, microwave, 2 ovens, 2 hotplates, a toaster and a ZIP boiler for hot water. You do need to bring along your own cooking utensils, plates, cutlery etc.

The BBQs are adjacent to the kitchen.

Yes we have 3 BBQ areas. The main Camp kitchen has 4 BBQs and the BBQ hut near the Cabarita Cabins has a further two.

There are also two BBQs in the Waterpark area which are available during Waterpark opening hours only. Snag and slide anyone? BBQs are free to use.

We have many great facilities here at BIG4 Tweed Billabong, and to keep them safe and in good working order they do require repairs and maintenance.

Unfortunately in a business that runs 24/7, there is no other way to carry out this maintenance than to temporarily close those facilities down.

So while we strive to to have all of our facilities open, we cannot guarantee that every facility will be open for every day of your stay.

The exact hours of operation for each day of your stay will be available in the park when you are here.

The Laundry washing machines and dryers are operated by credit cards, no coins are required. The washing machine are $5 per load, plus a credit card surcharge of 27c.  The dryers are $4 per load, plus the surcharge. You can swipe your physical card, or scan the QR card and pay via card over the company’s website. 

We sell washing powder in reception.  

Kids can ride bikes, scooters and skate boards as long as they obey our rules. Electric Scooters are NOT permitted however.

Kids are issued with a ‘License to Ride’ upon arrival. They need to wear a helmet at all times – No helmet No ride.

Our smaller pool with slide is heated over the winter months to a maximum of 28 degrees. In addition to this, the solar heating is on from the Easter Holidays until the end of the September/October school holidays.

We are in Tweed Heads South, just below the NSW/QLD border. We are 1 ¼ hrs drive south of Brisbane and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast. Byron Bay is 45 minutes south of us.

While the location of our park is fantastic in terms of being close to some great beaches, shopping and eating, it also means we’re close to the airport and the M1.

This means that there is some noise in the park from aircraft and vehicles.

But you can read below what some guests have stated on Tripadvisor about this noise and how it affected their holiday.

I was a bit concerned regarding the possible noise after having seen some reviews but after setting up hardly noticed the planes overhead and it almost became a game for the kids spotting the different companies. Road noise was in the background but also disappeared after a while.

We spent a few days here and loved it. A bit noisy as mentioned in other posts however after the first day or so you don’t really notice it.

The positives far outweighs the negatives when you come and stay here at BIG4 Tweed Billabong.

Arkinstall Park is off Cunningham Street in Tweed South, about 5 minutes from the Park. This Park has Soccer fields and Netball courts, and a great playground just for fun.

You can hire a court and play a game day or night at Tweed regional Tennis Centre, it’s state of the art. Head to the link below for more info.

25m Indoor swimming pool is on the corner of Heffron St. About 5 minutes from us.

We have a kiosk with basic necessities such as bread, milk, newspapers and ice. There are 2 corner stores within walking distance from the Park, with take away foods, a hairdresser, bottle shop and ATM.

We are approx 5 minutes drive to Tweed City Shopping Centre, one of the biggest shopping centres in the Region.

They have BIGW, Kmart, JB HiFi, Coles, Woolworths and specialty shops. They also have a cinema.

Tweed Mall is 5 minutes north, with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Target and specialty stores.

The Gold Coast has excellent shopping with Pacific Fair and Robina shopping centres only 20-25 minutes away. Surf outlet stores and Harbour Town are approx 50 minutes north.

The best Restaurants nearby are in Coolangatta which is approx 5 minutes drive. All cuisines are available from Indian, Thai, Steak Houses, Japanese, Cafes, Seafood and Mexican.

Tweed City has a food precinct known as ‘The Cove’.

Restaurants include Grill’d, Pho Real Vietnamese, Eat Sushi, Coffee Club as well as a large food court with lots of options.

This is 5 minutes south and a great place to have a meal before the movies at Hoyts Tweed City.

The local clubs all offer great value meals.

We are 1 block off the Tweed River / Terranora Inlet. There is a boat ramp into the River approx 800 metres west of the Park.

A fishing licence is required to fish in NSW if you are 18 years of age or older. You may purchase one from most fishing stores, service stations or Service NSW.

You do not need a licence to fish in our Billabong as it is on private land.

Movieworld & Wet ‘n’ Wild are all approx 40 minutes drive north along the freeway to Brisbane.

Dreamworld is approx. 45 minutes north.

Seaworld is located on the Coast past the heart of Surfers Paradise and can take between 40-60 minutes depending upon traffic.

Australia Zoo is north of Brisbane and takes 2-2.5hrs to drive here from the park.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is only 15 minutes drive from the Park.

Coolangatta beach is approx 5 minute drive from the Park. Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks and Duranbah beaches are located adjacent to this. They offer world class surfing and protected areas for kids.

Coolangatta and Rainbow Bay beaches are patrolled during School holidays and weekends. These beaches offer some of the coast’s best surfing.

Tweed Coast beaches in Northern NSW such as Kingscliff and Cabarita beaches are 10-15 minutes south of the Park.

Kinetic operates local busses from the end of our street.

You can travel from our park to Surfers Paradise in approx. 1 hour. Check local time tables. Ask reception for information on transport packages.

Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) is only 6kms, or 5 -10 mins drive from our park. A taxi is the best way to get to the park from the airport.

Brisbane Airport is approx 1.5 hrs. We can arrange Transfers is required.

Check in time for Ensuite and Powered Sites is 12 noon. Check in time for Accommodation is 2pm.

If you plan to arrive after our reception closes, a late check-in must be arranged with reception in advance.

Late check-ins are only permitted by providing a photo of your credit card (last 4 digits showing) in advance and a photo of yourself holding your drivers licence (of credit card holder). 

Check out time is 10am for all sites and accommodation.

A late checkout of 4pm can be arranged. Charges apply – $60 for cabins and $30 for sites (subject to availability).

Remember that the Park Operates on NSW Day Light Saving Time.
